~COD STORIES!~ (FOR HUNTER)

It was 2:30 in the morning and I was still balling it up.  But not literally balling it up on a basketball court, I was balling it up on Call of Duty! Haha.  See these kids thought I wasn’t good enough to be in their clan so I was like bring it.  So… I Cod’d it up that night till like 4.  Then finally they told me if I got twenty or more kills on the next map, then they would finally let me be on their clan.   So the map began, and it was an easy map, it was terminal.  Terminal has to be the best map, because it’s inside an airport.  So as usual I went up inside the airplane and immediately went to my hiding spot, aka the back of the airplane.  I waited for awhile and eventually got like 5 kills.  So it was no big deal!  But then I noticed the game was going to be over soon so I booked it out of there and attatched on my NOOB TOOBER.  Right when I got out of the airplane I saw like 4 guys just standing there so I Tubbed them.   Plus 400 is what came on the screen, I felt so proud!!!!!!!!!!  But yeah I would have to say the tar is the best one.  Then I got my care package and I got the pavelow, finally the game was over and I looked at my score, which had showed 19-3.  This is pretty dang good.  The entire clan members started to laugh but I was like whatever.   From then on out I don’t think it is a good idea to have a clan name.

haha

good memories though

BullDawg First’s

I could hear the wind blowing, the leaves rattling, the fans screaming my name, and the smell of food.  It was Thursday Night and I was on the mound facing some of my old teammates.  For the first time I was in the Stone Bridge Baseball uniform and I couldn’t feel any more proud.  It was the start of a new inning and I had no clue who the first batter was, that I was facing.  I started my wind up, boom!  Strike one!  My first pitch as a Bulldog was a strike!  I knew that I had this guy now, because the count was 0-1.  There’s no way he’s getting on base, I kept telling myself.   I eventually threw two more pitches and he grounded out.  But then the moment came, I was facing one of my good friends that I used to play with, Ryan W.  There was now two outs because I had gotten another one after the ground ball.  As Ryan walked up to the plate and took his cuts, I was thinking about his hitting tendencies.  I needed to get him out, not only to save the game, but to save my pride.  BOOM, BOOM, BOOM!   One-two-three.  I stroke him up.  Wow, I couldn’t believe I just did it.

Haha, I know strike outs aren’t that big of a deal, because Professionals throw them every game, but to strike out one of your good friends, that just made my night.  But it gets better, coach then told me that I was going to hit now, so I was going to get my first at-bat as a bulldogs too.  Got up there with my swagger, and took my cuts real quick, then stepped into the plate.  Johnny was pitching, I knew him too.  He likes to throw it outside so I was thinking opposite field.  Ball one went by, and then ball, two, then balls three.  I was thinking either walk or opposite field.  Eventually he threw a low strike.  Now I was hoping for a hit.  Haha but that didn’t happen because he threw one in the dirt and I wasn’t going to swing at that.  I casually walked on down the first base line.  Coach was telling me to look at the coach’s signs.  I didn’t get anything.  So I couldn’t steal or anything.  But anyways I eventually scored a run, and we won the game 9-2 over Westfield.  It was a great win!!

Even though the game didn’t count because it was a scrimmage I was still proud of my team!

After the game I said hey to all my old teammates.  They were really proud of me, because I had become not only a better player, but I had grown up more in my maturity on the mound and at the plate.

The only thing that I was kind of mad about though was I didn’t start.  But as I said it was just a scrimmage.  But I feel that I played really well and tried my hardest.  So hopefully when the season comes around I will earn a starting role on the team!!!!

I just can’t wait till our first game!

Paranormal Activity + Ding Dong Ditching = Amazingly Fun Night

The night was dark and creepy.  It was January 2nd.  This was the last night to do something till we were going to have to go back to school.  One of my friends named Jake called me up and asked if I wanted to do something I said yeah sure.  He came over and my parents said he could sleepover.  At first we really didn’t know what to do….  Then my dad told us that he was going to blockbuster and was wondering if we wanted him to pick up any movies for us.  We told him to pick up the movie “Con-Air” and “Paranormal Activity.”   Con-Air is one of my favorite movies of all time because it is funny and high action-packed.  While Paranormal Activity I had no clue what it was about.  Before watching it I decided to call up a couple of other friends and ask them what it was about and if it was scary or not…  Everybody I called up said the movie was really creepy and advised me not to watch it.  But Jake and I already knew that it would take a lot of creepiness to scare us.  My dad then came downstairs and decided to watch Con-Air with us, because it’s one of his favorite movies of all time too.  We watched the movie.  During the movie I thought it would be a good idea to go upstairs and make us some popcorn.  When I came back downstairs the best part of the movie was just about to come, so I was very happy I made it in time.  After finishing the movie, my dad informed us that he was going to go to bed because he had to wake up the next morning…  I attempted to argue with him, but it didn’t work out.  He then explained to us that he was also kind of scared to watch Paranormal Activity.  We laughed at him and told him it would be nothing and he told us that we were wrong. After we heard my dad walking up the stairs I told Jake that it would be a perfect night to go Ding Dong Ditching.  He agreed and we went up stairs to get our shoes.  We went outside and it was freezing!  We did our two houses and returned to the house and watched Paranormal Activity!  The movie was a little scary but I’ve seen worse.

Wizards Game

A couple weeks ago my friends and I went to the Washington Wizards game against the 76ers.  It was a very good game because the players played really well and made their shots.  The final score was 107-106 the Wizards won the game.  I had a fun time and I hope I can go sometime soon.

Winter Break

Over upcoming winter break I plan to do nothing than sit down on the couch and watch TV and play videogames.  I hope that it snows though so I can have a snowball fight.  I love snowball fights because I dominate in them.  Nobody can touch me in them.  I dodge all snowballs.  Also in the snow I love to go sledding.  I am not afraid to attempt any hill.  No matter if it were Mount Everest I would sled down it in a heart beat.  Another thing that is special to me over the holidays is that we all get to spend time with our families.  Spending time is very important to my family.  Over Christmas we spend time as a family and pass around gifts.

Steelers Game

Last Thursday night my dad and i watched the Pittsburgh Steelers Game.  They were playing their artch rival The Browns, who had only won one game this year.  The game was very dissapointing as we lost the game thirteen to six.  I was very mad with my team and now we cant go to the playoffs.  My dad threw lots of stuff around the room and I just yelled and screamed at the TV.

Clutch!!!!!

Yeah!!!!  That was the sound of our dugout screaming when my teammate hit a ball up the middle to bring in the tying run!  It was my turn to hit.  Three balls and two strikes was the count and everybody was on their heels!!!!  The score was 4-4, bottom of the 7th, and runner on third.  All I had to do was get a base hit!  The pitcher winded up and threw a juicy ball right down the plate!  Time paused for a second…At least for me! Kaaaaaboooommmm!!!!!!!! I killed it! But it was a foul ball…  The pitcher was shocked that I had hit that ball.  He started to grin at the catcher after they called the pitch.  I then knew he was going to be sneaky and try to throw me a curveball.  My coach came over and told me just to try to hit it.  I stepped back in the batter’s box and went threw my normal routine…  I tapped the plate, shrugged my shoulders.  I could feel the heat blazing into my eyes.  I quickly breathed in and then out.  After that I looked at the pitcher and wait for him to throw me the pitch.  He winded up again and threw it to me.  I loaded up and hit the ball straight on…  I closed my eyes for some reason after I hit it.  I opened them to see the ball was cruising in the air to right field and into the gap.  I ran to first base as hard as I could and looked behind me to see the winning run score!!! WE WON! WE WON!!!!!   We all jumped up for joy and then told the other team good game!  It was a heck of a game!  After the game everybody called me clutch!  Even the other team walked over to me and congratulated me!  The only problem was we had another game now…  And it was the championship!!!

Thanksgiving- Pittsburgh Trip!!!

Last weekend my family went up to Pittsburgh, PA to visit my grandma, aunts, uncle, and cousins.  As I was up there I had a blast.  I haven’t seen my cousins in like 2 years.  So I was very happy to see them.  Of course we had a great thanksgiving meal.  But I also got to be there with my grandma for her 80th Birthday!!!!  Our whole family came to see her because we don’t know how much longer she has.  She was very surprised to see that we got her a lot of food and a lot of gifts.  After we ate ice cream and cake we all decided to joke around.  Mad and very cranky she walked up stairs and went to bed.  We got very mad that she did that but we got over it quickly.  After she went to bed our whole family gathered around the kitchen table and we played taboo!!!  The game is very fun!!!  As we all know I’m a very competitive person!!!  We decided that the teams should be girls against the boys.  As we all know the boys dominated.  We won the game twenty five cards to nineteen cards.  After that we went over to the living room and played twister.  I lost unfortunately!!!  The whole weekend was great and really fun!  I’m going to miss them so much!

PRANK!

It was November 18th, 2009.  I was in math class with one of my friends, Matt Hough.  He was doing the same routine as usual….  He walks in with a Swagger, grabs his bell ringer and gets started.  I walked in right after him and looked at him and said “hey!”

Matt as usual, looked at me and replied “hey!”

Today I wanted to pull a prank or do something to make him mad.  I don’t know why my evil mind thinks like this but I was in the mood to pull a sick prank.  As our class was taking notes I looked down at Matt’s shoes and then it popped into my head…  I was going to tie his shoes to the desk!!!!  I Did it very stealthy and quickly.

Near to the end of class Matt tried to get up and he couldn’t…  HAHA HAHA!!!!  He looked at me and said “WOW TYLER HAHA!!!”  He was kind of mad but he broke out in laughs!

It was a success!!!  What a great day!!!

Best Night of my Life!

It was Wednesday, the day before a big game against Langley.  Our team casually walked onto the field with a smooth swagger.  Coach blew his whistle and we all ran to our stretching lines to do our stretches.  I looked over to my left and the starting quarterback was not there.  I was confused….Was he sick? Did he get in trouble?  He was sick with the swine flu.

Curious about my playing time I walked over to coach after we were done stretching and asked, Coach “Am I starting tomorrow?”

Looking down at me with a wide grin Coach replied with a “yes, yes you are!  I then said okay and promised him I would give it my all.

That practice was my worst practice I had ever had…  I was in-completing passes and not making wise decisions on where to throw the ball and where their routes were!  I felt really bad because now I was looking like a dummy and I felt like the coaches were going to lose faith in me.  After practice I stayed after and looked at the score board…

Was I really just going to go out there and act like a back up or was I going to give it my all???  I said a quick prayer and walked off the field.

That night I didn’t get any sleep.  All I could think about was the game the next day!  The next morning I woke up and went outside and worked on my passes for the last time before my big debut.  That day at school was a weird and quiet day for me.  I didn’t talk to one person and nobody talked to me…  I was okay with that though because I needed to get focused!  After school I rushed down to the locker room and got dresses quickly.

The game started!  We had the ball and drove it down to the 50 yard line.  I waited to hear coach yell my name but he didn’t.  After a couple of drives coach finally called me over and told me the play.  The first three quarters went by fast.  I was doing really good!  I was completing my passes, making smart throws, handed off the ball the right way, and having confidence in my teammates.  The score was 7-0 and there was 2 minutes left to go in the fourth quarter (the game).  We converted 2 straight fourth down conversions and looked good.  We were now on our own 40 yard line.  There was 30 seconds left and time was ticking…  I ran over and got the play.  It was my favorite play: FADE!!!!  We all ran to the line and I snapped the ball with 13.7 seconds left.  Matt Hough looked open so I threw the ball 40 yards down the field to him…  I started to run down the field to see if he caught…HE DID!!!  He then ran for another 20 yards!  I looked up at the score board and there was no time remaining…

The score was 7-6 now.  Coach gave me the signal that we were going for two!  I ran out there and told the guys in the huddle to calm down.  After 3 delay of game penalties, on our own 20 yard line I threw the ball to Matt Hough again.  Right when he caught it he broke the plain of the end-zone!  WE WON!!!  WE WON!!!

The final score was 8-7!  Words cannot describe the feeling I felt after those two plays.  After he got in I raised my hands and couldn’t believe what had just happened.  I ran over and gave Matt the biggest hug in the world! After the game I ran into the locker room to hear my team chanting “Tyler, Tyler, Tyler!!!!!”  As quickly as I could I ran to the bathroom and looked at my self in the mirror and prayed to god and thanked him!!!  This night was the best night of my life!!!!

The lesson I learned was that I need to have confidence in not only my teammates but myself.  If I had of just quit and would have decided to just go out there and play like a back-up then we would have lost.
